The minimum academic requirement to gain admission to the MCA programme is a second class degree any of the graduate streams. Post graduates may also apply. Candidates awaiting their results may also apply, provided they clear their exam with the requisite marks before a specified date.

The admission to the degree course is given by merit obtained in common Admission test conducted by GCET, typically in May-June every year. The test consists of Basic English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
